General terms and conditions


Berenice Manette is manager of the B&B Smile@life, Frans Van Leemputtenstraat 4, 3118 Werchter. The manager can be replaced by a family member or knowledge should circumstances require this.

When making a reservation at Smile@life, guests agree to our house rules, payment and cancellation conditions. On request, a copy of these general terms and conditions will be provided to guests free of charge.

The tenant must have a fixed place of residence and must be 18 years of age or older.

The manager is not liable for damage, loss or theft of property of the users. In case of disputes, all legal costs are for the account of the guests.

Damage and loss of movable and immovable property of the owner must be reported immediately by the users and possibly compensated.

In the event of violation of these general terms and conditions and in the event of inappropriate behaviour, the manager may deny or refuse guests access to Smile@life with immediate effect. This without further notification, statement of reasons and reimbursement of accommodation costs.

Terms of payment

At reservation an advance of 50% of the total amount is required. This is to be paid within 7 days on the account number: BE55 7310 4074 6944 in the name of Smile@life stating the invoice number. The remaining balance must be paid on arrival.

In case of late booking when the amount can not be transferred on time, the full amount must be paid on the spot upon arrival. This can be done in cash or via Mobile Pay or Payconiq.

If an advance payment is not made within the stipulated period, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to fulfill the reservation you have made, you must notify us as soon as possible. This way we can still offer the vacant date to third parties.

If you interrupt your stay or leave earlier than planned for any reason, you must pay for the entire stay.

If you do not eat breakfast, no refund can be requested.

Below you will find the conditions that apply in case of cancellation. 

The amounts and percentages shown must be paid by you.

Cancellation policy COVID-19 

Up to 14 days before the day of arrival a cancellation is free.

After that, existing reservations cannot be cancelled but only vouchers valid until the end of 2022 are available.

A ‘no show’ will be charged 100% or the full amount of the stay.
